What makes Prithvi the butt of all jokes is the way he presents himself. There are many other stars in the Malayalam film industry. Many much more experienced in the industry than our protagonist. And maybe as you have said they may be faking their humility, however the fact remains that they carry themselves around as a humble human being, thankful to all the people who made them as opposed to Prithvi who tries at every time to assert himself. Asserting oneself is no crime, however there are proper ways of doing so and not by saying 'njan' at every possible instance. As he keeps doing it, so will the jokes continue floating around.
