Remaking of hit movies is quite the trend these days. The latest buzz has it that the Tamil super hit
movie Vettaiyadu Vilayadu is going to be remade in Bollywood. The movie which starred Kamal Hassan
and Jyothika in lead roles was written and direct by Gautham Menon. The Hindi version too will be
directed by him. Word has it that he is looking to rope in either Salman Khan or Shah Rukh Khan in the
lead role and is currently in discussions with them.
Gautham Menon is presently busy with two other films and so hasn’t much time to put into this
endeavor at the moment, but he plans to settle them soon and start with the remake and so discussions
for the lead man is on way. This is his third movie in Bollywood after Ek Deewana Tha, the remake of
Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa and Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein remake of Minnale.
