A knee injury, a hand injury and slip disc ailments had forced the Greek God of Bollywood, Hrithik Roshan to be confined to bed for a few months. Love and care of friends and family showered upon him with the result being that on getting up the actor noticed that he was fat!! Hrithik Roshan fat? Now imagine that. He had a 36 plus waist and was suffering from inconsistent blood pressure. With Krish 2 set to start shooting he had to do something for it was clear he could not do the superhero role looking like a football.
Thats when he started asking around and got to know of Kris Gethin. Kris Gethin is a well known name in body building, and by that we mean he is one of the world's most reknowned transformation specialists. Says Hrithik, "I used to smoke 3 packs, and have a lot of fast food. Kris put me up into a dietary schedule, and a fitness regime and it served me well. I've just completed my transformation and I look at myself and I am amazed that something like this is possible. It was a 12-week transformation, but we completed it in 10 weeks." Pictures released sure tell the tale. In the past ten weeks he's lost ten kilos and 6 inces of his waist. Hrithik now feels it is the food culture in our country that is driving the obesity trend. People are not educated about the foods they take.
"With the fitness regime I went through I learned a bit and I feel its my duty to educate the masses and inform them about how to remain fit and healthy."
